‘Burn After Reading’ takes a lighthearted look at the world of secret agents
Coen brothers’ spy comedy opens Sept. 12
“Burn After Reading” is a dark spy-comedy from Academy Award winners Joel and Ethan Coen (“No Country for Old Men,” “Fargo”).
The memoir of an ousted CIA official (Academy Award nominee John Malkovich) accidentally falls into the hands of two unwise gym employees intent on exploiting their find.
The film, starring George Clooney, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton, Richard Jenkins and Brad Pitt, premieres as the opening-night film of the 2008 Venice International Film Festival, and is released in theaters on September 12, 2008.
